In Room 2 we have fun learning all about the alphabet! We are learning all the letter names and the sounds they make. We are also learning who they become in Letterland... for example, 'a' is 'Annie Apple', 'v' is 'Vicky Violet', 'j' is 'Jumping Jim'.
We are getting very good at a game called 'Alphabet Line Up!' To play, Ms Fisher gives us all an alphabet card and then we need to work as a team and put ourselves in the correct order by thinking which letters come before and after the one we have. Once we are lined up, we hold our cards up high, one by one, and say the letter in a big, clear voice.
Knowing our alphabet letters and the sounds they make helps us in our reading and writing!
